This was a trip of a lifetime, and we thank you for reading along. Without the support of our family, friends, and others, our lives would be less exciting. Betsy, Meg and Jim were awesome to travel with. I cannot wait for our next adventure. The experience JJ provided by completing several cross country trips was invaluable. My team at work did an amazing job of keeping me off of the radar, Christina, George, Ron, Steve, Alison, and the entire global team worked hard to ensure I was insulated from the day-to-day events of the office.
The encouragement from our friends and co-workers made us want to experience our country and share it with them. Stopping along the way to visit family and friends was a key pillar of our trip. Liz and her family in St. Louis, Paul in Montana, Shel and Lisa in New York, Pete and his family in Washington, Grandma Gillman in Cincinnati, the Bowman’s of California (and their spouses) made our trip memorable and fun. We also had friends who we did not get a chance to see: Potsie in Wisconsin, and Andrea from Wisconsin; we will make sure we connect again in the near future.
We learned a lot about ourselves on this trip. We learned about what we can expect from a larger, young family. We gained an appreciation for our great country. We know that we will do a roadtrip again in the near future. We may even ask if anyone wants to come with us!!!
And for the round of beer: Kim Duffy was closest and Michelle Domey intimidated me, so I will get the next round for each of you!
Um, do you ACTUALLY know a Potsie in Wisconsin?! Or was that a Happy Days joke?
