Great sleep and on-time departure made the start to Day 2 awesome. We filled out the comment cards at Lisa’s with 5 stars in every category. The border crossing was uneventful: passports for the adults, and birth certificates for the kids. We were able to see 4 of the 5 great lakes today. We blasted through Canada in 3 hours. Our truck, with 7 people was nearly silent for 2 hours as we drove down the QEW. The boys were asleep and the girls were on various ‘i’ devices. After we cleared customs at Port Huron, we found a park and had a nice picnic. See Jen’s food journal for more details on lunch and other food related items on the trip.

We arrived at the Holiday Inn in Ludington and there is a cool Kids Zone. There is a bunk bed and separate kid’s area. I asked for the barbed wire amenity, but that was met with an icy stare. The kids hit the park and the merry-go-round. Jenny and Meg made a great dinner in the hotel room. Sam Adams stopped by so I have to go. Tomorrow, we are on a boat to Wisconsin.
